PRESS STUFF
If you would like to write an article or review on Songs For Summer, most everything you will need to know about the record can be found on this website. That way, I don't have to retell the story over and over. I'm sure you can imagine why. I've already had quite a few people ask to interview me and I'm trying to limit these to just Summer's favorite magazines or radio shows. I'm sorry but even writers asking just a few questions via e-mail has already got out of control. I just don't have time. So, I'm using the website to tell the story of the record and the songs at length.
We ask that you only use the photos and drawings from the album, which appear on the Images for Press Folks page. We can also send high res versions to you electronically if you need them. Just ask.
We will not be able to send free promo copies of the album to everyone who wants them, but it doesn't hurt to ask. We're already giving a few hundred to the artists, managers, and publishers who donated their time and money to our project. Fax your request on your publication or company's letterhead to Mike Smith at Oglio Records at 310-543-7568. Since a portion of the proceeds are going to charity, we're encouraging as many people as possible to actually purchase the album. Sorry Mom and Dad! Our record release parties will not have much of a guestlist, if you know what I mean. That's like when you see people scalping tickets at benefit shows. You just don't want that much bad karma.
